Football NSW Referee Branches will be provided a list of endorsed Summer Football competitions. FNSW instruction to the Referee Branches will include;
- The personal injury cover for Referees applies to their officiating at endorsed Football NSW Summer Football competitions only
- The personal injury cover for Referees will not apply to any competitions that have not received endorsement from Football NSW
- Priority of appointment should be to the endorsed Summer Football competitions in the geographic area of the respective Referee Branches Football NSW will provide preferred fees for Summer Football.
Should Competition Administrators and Referee Branches have an agreement for a fee scale different to the preferred fees, Football NSW will support such collaboration.
The preferred fees have been developed considering the preferred match duration. Should there be no such agreement; the preferred fees should be applied.
Preferred Referees fees for Summer Football are;

| U6 & U7 | Competition operators are to provide “instructing referees” or “game leaders’ as per the FFA Small Sided Football. If an official referee is appointed the fee is $10 |
| U8 & U9 | Competition operators are to provide “instructing referees” or “game leaders’ as per the FFA Small Sided Football. If an official referee is appointed the fee is $10 |
| U10 & U11 | Competition operators are to provide “instructing referees” or “game leaders’ as per the FFA Small Sided Football. If an official referee is appointed the fee is $10 |
| U12-U16 | $15 |
| U17-U18 | $20 |
| AAM + AAW | $25 |
Payment of Referees Fees will be by cash on the night or other arrangement between the Competition Administrator and Referee Branch. Should an official Referee not be appointed, or be appointed and not attend, it is the Competition Administrators responsibility to provide a match official.
